1/28/11:"The Town Hangout?"

I found the essay, "The Town Hangout?", very interesting because I can extremly relate to this. My friends and I would always attend ten dollar bowling night at Timber Lanes located in Abington, where you would pay ten dollars and play as many games from 10 o'clock pm to 12 o'clock pm. Rock N' Bowl is very similar to what Timber Lanes did which included black lights, strobe lights, fog,multicolor lights, and music to set the atmosphere to the teenage society. Also I was very suprised that so many teenagers would go bowling with their friends on a perfectly good friday night, but it was cheap and a very good time to spend with friends. The essay shows a lot of imagery which makes the reader visualize the atmosphere which makes the story more interesting and puts a picture into the reader's head while reading. Like "Friday Night at Iowa 80" and "the Town Hangout?", an ethnography needs to have good imagery, descrpition, observations, and interviews.
