Interview

In the recent reading the writer vividly describes the atomsphere of the bowling alley to set the tone and mood of the setting. We as the readers can tell that can be a competitve bowling alley with league, but is mostly a family ran atmosphere. She explains that the parking lot is always full which means a lot of people like this alley and we can infer the that atnmosphere, service, and or food is good here which makes people come back.

When interviewing bowlers she puts in great detail and great quotes that tell us about each person she interviews at the bowling alley. An example is when she interviews a woman and she replies that she is going to make it home just on time to watch CSI when she gets back home. As readers we can infer that this woman has more things on her mind than just bowling and really enjoys this hit television series. Another example is when she interviews a the participant, Lauren, and Lauren tells her if you do bad on a Thursday night which is the men's league "they will kill you." Clearly during Thursday nights men take their league very seriously.

In conclusion, the writer does not only interview people, but puts valuable responses into her essay which tells us about the community at the bowling alley. In order to do so you must ask good questions that have good responses and intergrate them into a neatly well-written flow.

  1. Did a good job summing up what the article was about and posted an example of what an interesting interview can be. I believe you have the idea of what an effective interview needs!

  2. I agree with what my boy Leeman said. Schotte you did a great job summing up what the reading was about. Also, I like that you gave a link for whoever reads your blog so they can see what a interview can look like. After reading what you had to say I think you know what the next section of your paper needs to consist of.
